You can visit http://www.HomeFair.com and click on the city reports section for in-depth crime stats and area demographics. Other options would be http://www.SpotCrime.com and http://www.CrimeReports.com. As for your feelings nobody can answer that but you.

Try visiting the neighborhood at different times of the day and night. Go to a local restaurant, talk to neighbors, read local comments on everyblock.com.

Everyone feels differently about such things. Contact the police department for crime stats. Speak with friends/family/co workers to see what they think

Hi Cailtin

You can always visit the City of Chicago's website and type in any address and the site will provide you with an abundance of information about that particular area - including the crime rate. If you have any further questions and/or need help with your search feel free to reach out to me at anytime. Thanks and good luck!

Is it convenient for your work/school/social/family life? If yes, then visit the area at different times of the day/night and see how you feel

No real estate agent can answer that question, due to the Federal Fair Housing requirements. We cannot answer it for our clients, we cannot answer it for the public. Sorry. As a single woman I personally would avoid garden and first for units; and I prefer doormen buildings.

Hello Caitlin,

Obviously safety is a very subjective term or "feeling".

To get facts go to everyblock-chicago.com, there you can get stats about the area. I also suggest you drive by and hope for a chance encounter with a neighbor.

Good luck!
