I live in the area and personally believe it to be low. However, try a Google search for crime rates by zipcode and you should be able to get the real stats.

I recently moved to Paradise from Fairfax.

The best source for determining the crime rate is to contact the local police department, which I did.

The result was ridiculously low rate of crime for this area (Paradise subdivision). For example, most of the reports involved traffic stops. Violent crime is almost non-existent and involves family disputes. Moreover, property crime is relatively and surprisingly light.

There are a few offenders on the Virginia registry of sexual offenders, however they do not impact the crime statistics.

An interesting comparison is between Prince William County and Loudoun County crime report map:

Perception is that Loudoun is safer, yet the frequency of offenses from this objective source do not support that perception.

It all depends on Which part of Sudley Manor, the part in Manassas yes has a high crime rate, mainly people will steal stuff when they know you arent home. but if you are on the other side of the 234 bypass the crime rate is VERY VERY low. Nothing at all to worry about on the Nokesville side of Sudley Manor. But usually the police presence in Prince William not too many people break the law anymore
