I used to live on Edenshire which is close to Park and Mt Moriah. Even though my car was stolen off the street, it was a safe area. I had no issues jogging through the area and there was not a single break in on our street or to my knowledge, not anywhere in the immediate vicinity. We lived there for 4 years and I still own the house as a rental. My tenants have been there for 5 years and love it.
But 1640 Seal Isle is off Willow. My dad lived on Willow and his house was broken into several times, jet ski's stolen out of the carport and many things stolen from his outdoor storage. Once you cross White Station and it turns into Willow, the crime increases. I would not buy anything off Willow and I would not buy anything West of Perkins.
Point of the story. My house I lived in was a couple of miles from 1640 Sea Isle; the neighborhood is night and day different. If you are not familiar with Memphis, you really need to hire a good Real Estate agent who knows these area inside and out.
I am not an agent, I am a Property Manager and Real Estate Investor. I have Real Estate agents in my office who have lived in Memphis all their life and know the area.
Let me know if I can help.
