When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

Treyburn is a very exclusive neighborhood and I do not often hear of a lot of crime there.
I would suggest the crime map at

This area is NOT included in the actual subdivision of Treyburn, It IS in the Snow Hill Rd. area.. I'm a retired law enforcement officer from this area and can only speak of 25 years ago when I worked this area. There were a lot of breakins THEN that the SHERIFF's dept. had to handle. Contact the Durham County Sheriff's Dept. NOT the Durham Police (Not in city limits) for real time stats-RAS
