There are several other things that you can look up as well that may be a material fact in determining where you want to buy. The other poster's have answered for crime stat question however there is a multipage Buyer's Advisory that will give you links to about question you could have about everything from school districts, sex offenders, and crime stats. Let me know if you would like it and I'd be happy to send it to you!

No, not really. This is a very safe area, but there are a few apartment complexes that have a few issues. I have lived here for 25 years and know, which areas are better for safety.

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

I'm trying to find a place to stay from out of town. I wish I had the opportunity to visit in person. I'm coming from a much smaller city, so I really would like to find a place where I feel safe.
