The best way to find information about crime statistics is to go direct to Florida Department of Law Enforcement website. As agents we are not allowed to comment on specific areas but the website can help you find areas that meet your family needs. Here is the website address http://www.fdle.state.fl.us

hope this helps!

Wow, that is a ROUGH area of town.

Avoid being within 1mile of Orange Blossom Trail, Rio Grande, Tangelo park. That's the honest truth. Realtors aren't really able to comment on it.

I would agree with this answer stay away from OBT. I would also avoid the agent that just reply with We can help with this situation. She replied to several posts, copy and paste with irrelevant answers. Shows what kind of services she and he provides or lack thereof.

Actually information on crime IS available through brokers. A good agent can provide access to compiled crime stats per zip code and allow you to compare different areas. Other information on the areas is available too. I get this info from my Keller Williams agent but other realtors should be able to access this data unless they don't want to pay for it.

As a Realtor, we are not permitted to comment on the conditions of any neighborhood. I would recommend you or your son drive around the neighborhood during different times of the day-night. You should be able to ascertain what the neighborhood is like.

We as agents cannot comment on crime rates. However you are free to look up the information on any of these sites or by calling the local sheriff department. Was this answer helpful? If so please click on the "green thumbs up" or the "best answer".
