Hi, Susan ~

As realtors we get asked this questions hundreds of times a year from parents and students. (Would you let your daughter live here?"

As previously mentioned, it is illegal for a licensed realtor to comment on safety of an area as it would be considered steering towards or away from areas... I would say that students live all over the city and that a city is just that, a city. Things can happen in the "safest" of places if you're not aware.

It is always best to connect with a realtor that you'll feel comfortable with and who will show you the best things available fitting your criteria.

Feel free to contact me if you're looking for a new rental in the area.

Best of luck,

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.
