Is crime an issue in Vero Beach?

Asked by Halley S., New York, NY Mon Apr 23, 2007

How safe is it or does it feel to walk around? And, is this the case across the city, or are there differences in different areas?

When Vero Beach Florida was selected as one the the "BEST Small Towns in America" and also one of the "Best places to retire" crime statistics were one part of the criteria for the selection process. Vero Beach was recognized for having a lower than average crime rate. This government website shows the most recent crime statistics . You can also read first hand current information at the Vero Beach Police Department I also invite you to visit our website, where you can click on the "COMPARE CITIES" link button and enter any two locations by city and state or by zip code and find crime comparisons as well as MANY other issues like education, population, income and climate, etc.

This is a pretty dangerous question for any real estate professional to answer. Participation by licensed Realtors, lenders, escrow, or title company employees could result in a Fair Housing Claim. Trulia should consider a disclosure at the bottom of the page. A link to Fair Housing Compliance:

Crime rate is NOT a dangerous question to answer. Stay in CA with the other weirdos.
