Is crime an issue in Singer Island?

Asked by J.P., Tampa, FL Mon Apr 23, 2007

How safe is it or does it feel to walk around? And, is this the case across the city, or are there differences in different areas?

Hi JP, you must check with the local police and sheriffs departments for information on these matters.

A real estate agent can get into a legal trouble for "steering" by offering opinions.

Why were several virtually identical questions of this nature posted at the exact same time for this area by people with different names?

Issues of neighborhood safety are best referred to the local police department or county sheriff's department. They have access to the most accurate and current information and are generally very willing to be helpful.

If you are concerned about crime, my suggestion is always to check with the local police department. They can give you actual statistics instead of someone's perception of safety.

Crime has not been a factor on Singer Island - a small community with many neighbors and gated communities, the local feel is very safe and supportive. Everyone knows everyone and there is an air of friendly caring between neighbors. The Riviera Beach and Palm Beach Shores police forces are very active in providing service and information to the community.
