Here is a website where you can select the area off of a grid! Click the grids and sections you want and go to next. It will show the crime statistics for those areas. You can also filter by dates.

There is a document called the "Buyer's Advisory" available on the Arizona Department of Real Estates website. There are other links through the advisory that you also may want to utilize to find out about pertinent information in a specific area.

Check out http://www.crimereports.com and/ or http://www.spotcrime.com. I use these 2 sites frequently to check into the crime activity in certain areas.

City of Scottsdale publishes police activity to a website: http://www.raidsonline.com - You can put in an address you're considering purchasing, or your own current home and it will provide police activity in that area. Other municipalities in the Valley also use it. Another resource to consider is http://www.spotcrime.com - If you are purchasing in AZ, ask your Realtor for a copy of the Arizona Buyers Advisory which is a great resource guide for homebuyers provided by our Arizona Association of Realtors.

The crime rate in Scottsdale 85260 and in general most all of North Scottsdale is very low compared to nearly any other area in the Valley of the Sun.

I really like Ryan's link. Thanks Ryan. As a mom myself this was important to me and continues to be so. I can also suggest calling the local police department to talk to them. It made me feel better to get an idea of how they felt about the area I moved in to. Then of course, don't hesitate to stop a neighbor or knock on a door to just say hi and get an idea of how they have experienced their neighborhood too. !

Check out this recent article I wrote on Trulia for buyers.

The article references a form called the "Buyers Advisory" and that's what you'll need to look through the stats you need.

All the Best!

My suggestion? I just googled crime stats in the zip code you mention. There were myriad links and good information contained therein. Best of luck!!!
