To piggy-back on some of the previous comments, here is a hyperlink to a Denver Police website that lists crime statistics and maps:…

Agents are unable to comment on crime or safety in any particular area. You can try researching the Denver PD website. Good luck to you!

Thank you, this was actually helpful. I was not aware that agents were not allowed to comment on crime and safety. Thanks!

I love using a site like Sometimes they have past historic info that you might be looking for, other times they might not. Try going to or searching the zip code you're looking for and see if they have crime stats on there.

I'm not a realtor, the usual stuff from gangs, guns, fights, etc but a lot of it is in it's own areas... You may hear shots from time to time... Depends on the part of Montbello too, the worst of it usually goes down between the 47th and 55 blocks... Most the rest of Montbello is neutral territory... But honestly if you keep to yourself and just go about your business you should be fine.

Hi Reaca.

As Realtors we are not allowed to comment on crime and safety in a certain neighborhood due to Denver Board of Realtors regulations. I would suggest driving through the neighborhood and forming your own opinion. I have relatives and friends who live in the area and love it. It has become one of the 'hot' neighborhoods in Denver due to the price and quality of the homes there. We can offer places to go to research all of the Denver areas. One is here -

Do a google search on crime rates in Denver and you can research one of the multiple sites to obtain that information. You can also contact the local police department directly.

Thank you for the "best answer" vote! On a side note, you can sometimes get an agent's honest opinion about a certain area...after you have been out looking at property a few times and you have developed a rapport with him/her. ;)
