Alameda Southshore Shopping Center is a pretty low crime area but not crime free. In comparison to our neighboring cities, it has the safest and nicest shopping environment. It offers free parking, bus service, good restaurants and nice stores. You can even walk along the beach before or after dining. Alameda, in my opinion, is one of the Bay Areas best kept secret. Call me and I'll show you why.

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

Hi Christine, You can go to the police station and get a crime report for the different areas of Alameda. As a resident and full time agent I can tell you that this area is pretty safe. As is most of Alameda. If you would like more information on this or other areas please feel free to contact me and I would be happy to give you more information on our Island city.

All the best

I have no idea about that area. If I was you I would go to a local police department and ask then about the area safety.
You can also use and get all the details about a specific zipcode. This way you'll have somewhat better idea about the safety of a given area along with other useful information.

I hope this is of some help.
