The local authorities would be the best ones to answer that question. Here is a link

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local authorities with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

It's under contract.

For crime check with the APD.

Call the non-emergency number and ask for the CRO or beat officer who handles your neighborhood.

You have to think too, that in most cases violent crime is not random. Have you ever met anyone that was in the right place at the right time and got kidnapped, beaten, robbed, murdered. Sure it happens, but more often than not it probably happens to people who are not in the right state of mind, in the wrong place, doing things they shouldn't be doing, hanging out with the wrong people, doing the wrong things, having the wrong husband or wife.

Well crimes takes place almost everywhere, so it is better to keep your eye open before going for home buying option. Though getting loans are easier then getting better place to stay.
