I have found that CONSUMER ACTION is an excellent resource for objective advice on all things credit related. You'll find free and sincere advice on everything from settling collection accounts to rebuilding credit to building credit from scratch on their website.

Beware of anyone offering to "repair" your credit! The Federal Trade Commission issued a stern warning last year that such offers are scams. Find more from the FTC HERE.…

You may have more luck with a small landlord where there may be more willingness to listen to your story. Some landlords are more interested in the actual content of the report than the score. Good Luck.

Yes, of course. You can still rent with a low credit score, but you may need an extra deposit and/or a co-signer.
It all depends on who your landlord is.
Good luck,

You still can. Feel free to give me a call. What areas are you looking at. Also sometimes you find landlords that may allow you to explain your situation and if you both make good money they may also consider you as an option id you are willing to pay a security deposit. Also for long term plans you can start repairing your score with some help available out there through different programs and sites. Check out my rental site. http://Www.realtyaplus/rent
