We have lived in Corrales for over 26 years, have never had a water softener, and have had to replace two facets because of hard warter problems in that time frame. The gift of Corrales is that if you want to escape the desert, you can without expending a fortune. In surrounding communities water restrictions often occur in the summer and require watering on days scheduled by the community ordinances, you can be fined for wasting water, and there can be sur charges if you exceed specified amounts of water usage.
