Yes its a lot cheaper to purchase a home now than to rent one and has always been that way. If you own a condo with 2 bedroom and 2 bath with 1 parking space in Austin and you total mortgage payment is $1000 would you rent it out for a $1000 or $1500 (after all you are in this to make money). I would be happy to work with you and get you qualified and verify also if you can qualify for any down payment assistance. I can be reach via my profile for a free no obligation consultation. ... more

On my website you can also save your favorite listings. This property is under contract. It would not go VA because it needs work. They were only offering it to Cash buyers. I can help you find another house if you would like.

Hi Jr - It is not showing up as an active listing. Sometimes Realtors will place a sign in a yard prior to listing a home with a "coming soon". This is done while the seller prepares the home and it usually become available to view within a few weeks. If you are in the market to purchase I would recommend interviewing several agents and once you feel you have found a good fit, have them set you up on a search to include homes in the area you desire - that way you will get alerts when new listings become available. With foundation problems, you will probably need a cash buyer for this short sale. In South Florida, that wouldn't be a major problem, but it will depend on your market conditions.

Keep in mind that banks don't want to do short sales if you can afford to make the payments and don't NEED to move. ... more

As a first time homebuyer you will want to find an agent that has a lot of experience. You will also want to work with an established firm with a great reputation. So start with the firm and then find an agent that specializes in the area you will like to live and the price range that you are looking for. Many agents have profiles on the web that will tell you about their interests and qualifications. ... more

I am not familiar with this builder probably because they don't build in DFW. In your research you will very likely find someone that was not happy with them. It just comes with the territory of being in sales, you can't please everyone.

If they don't have any homes that are occupied in the community you are interested in, ask the salesperson about other communities that are finished that they built. Drive the neighborhood and speak to the homeonwers.

Many builders that went bankrupt at one time come back in business under another name.

Google them, check etc.

Good luck,
