If it was recently listed, it might take a few days for the data to transfer over to Trulia. You can also ask your agent to manually enter it here on Trulia.

Hello,

The data you reported is coming from your county records, because of this I am unable to edit the information. This data is gathered by a third-party data collector and only updates on Trulia when discrepancies are identified at the next data collection cycle. Unfortunately, we are unable to expedite this process.

You have the ability to edit your home facts that appear in the Owner Information section. Please follow these instructions on how to edit your home facts. This includes editing the number of bedrooms/bathrooms, square footage, home features, description and more.

Sign into your Trulia account. If you do not have an account, you must first register in order to update your home facts.

If you haven't already claimed your home, navigate to the property page, go to the "Edit Home Facts " button and verify ownership.

If you have claimed your home, click on the same "Edit Home Facts" button to update your home facts.

Make sure to select Publish Updates at the bottom of the page.

Regards,

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to contact regarding your request to remove your home from Trulia. Upon further review of your property page, I see your property is in 'Public Record' status. This means your home is off the market and for informative purposes only. We display property information on Trulia to provide consumers with transparent real estate information. We receive this information from public records gathered by a third-party data collector from your county. Our mission is to empower consumers with information and tools to make smart decisions about homes, real estate and mortgages. For this reason, we do not remove public record property information from Trulia.

That said, we do have ability to remove photos. The photos have been removed from display:

You can edit pictures for any listing that you've claimed. To do so access the link below to access My Listings. Then select the 'Add more photos' button under the listing you want to update. You'll then have the option to add/remove photos and you can reorder them by dragging and dropping them. Trulia Customer Service answered:
Hi Ann,

Niki at Trulia Customer Service here. It is difficult to say without the address or property ID what is going on with your property details.

If your listing is showing as a public record, we appreciate you providing the correct property details. We keep your feedback in our records and update the "owner information". However, the information reflected on our Public Record listing is something we cannot edit. We receive all records information from a third party. Home facts and prior sales include information compiled from public records at local assessor, tax, and recorder offices. At this time we cannot manually update this information, only remove it from the listing. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Pleas contact us directly for assistance by calling 1-888-466-3501, Monday - Friday 7am to 4pm PST.

Maggie Griffin answered:
Only a licensed Realtor can list a property for sale on Trulia. Also keep in mind the MLS, multiple listing service, is a valuable asset which feeds into trulia and other real estate related web sites.

I understand selling your home on your own is probably a way to save money. But in the long run, the conversation rate for a FSBO is it doesn't sell in a timely manner, and many of the times not listed at the accurate listing price per MLS data.

I have seen FSBO's list their homes based on quick home values they see on Zillow. Not the case. Zillow estimates a value based on all sales from land, foreclosures, single families, condos and multi families.

The bottom line is selling a home as a FSBO is more costly then hiring a Realtor because a Realtor will make sure your home is properly advertised and also will match potential buyers of your home looking to purchase in that location and in a specific price range.

The first step is know what your home is worth in this market, do not assume. Get a CMA from a Realtor - at no charge. Second is to look at the difference - know the required State of CT forms you will need regardless of being a FSBO or going to a Realtor. Third is how will you advertise and what type of advertising your home for sale will draw in buyers of your home.

You may be surprised that the difference may profit you more money then you expect when going with a Realtor because you will be educated along the way with facts and information along with service.
