I used to live in Concord and will coming back there to live again real soon! I'm returning because of personal and business reasons,it's far better than where I am now in the Great Lakes region! I would highly recommend Concord to anyone. Crime???? Are you kidding! People were very friendly and the town was clean and neat and very well ran and organized! The folks and businesses are very congenial and cordial, you know, ones with manners and morals! It has wonderful architecture and historical beauty and scenery! It's a nice area to visit or retire in either way! I plan to personally retire here myself and am loving the idea very much and will be looking forward to coming back to stay! It's also part of the Bible belt and has a wonderful spirituality to it all! Concord is a winner with me! ... more

Allison,

Probably the best resource for neighborhood safety concerns is the local police depatrment or the county sheriff's department. They have access to the most current and accurate information and are generally willing to be helpful.

Good luck,
