I'm not a Realtor, but I know Columbus. Bexley has the best public school system, and is easy access to Abbott. Arlington/Upper Arlington would be 2nd for best public schools in Columbus. Also, Fort Hayes is a terrific school choice. Clintonville has a lot to offer for the money. ... more

Actually, if you go to my website at www.pattihughes.com . you can hit the tab "local information" then put in a street and/or zip code. It will give you a run down on the schools, quality of life, what % is owner occupied, rentals, vacant, etc. Great resource.
Let me know if you would like to see any homes there. Would be happy to help.

Cleveland Avenue is loooooooooooooooong. Cleveland Avenue runs from Downtown Columbus up into Delaware County.

There' is a link below to a site that will give you some information about crime in Columbus. I do not know if Westerville and Minerva Park are reporting crime to this site. Many of the suburban communities do not. City of Columbus reports to the site, so you can see on a map where crimes have been reported in the city. You would probably have to contact the Westerville police if you are looking that far north. Minerva Park has no apartments although I suppose it is possible there are rental single family homes (I do not work rentals) in the village. The Village of Minerva Park has a reputation for having a very vigilant police department. Most of the areas along Cleveland Avenue are going to be City of Columbus until you get pretty far north.

Good luck in finding a home and neighborhood that suits you and welcome to Columbus.

Hi Meredith,
I live and work in 43214. I just worked with a buyer who purchased a condo at Olentangy Point. The condos are on the river and have quite a bit of "grassy" areas around the complex plus a bike path. It might be worth driving by and taking a look. Olentangy Point is is in Clintonville off High Street at Kelso Rd.
I'd be happy to show them to you.......but I guess it would also depend on your price range.

The Victorian Village Short-North area is one of the hottest in the Columbus market. There are lots of choices in all price ranges (except cheap or what a lot of buyers would consider affordable) Columbus is a bit unusual in that our downtown is ringed with a number of very liveable and historic neighborhoods. (There are at least 18!) Go tohttp:// www.chncolumbus.org for a more complete list of neighborhoods. It also has links to many of the neighborhood sites as well. There are some great neighborhoods immediately adjeacant to VV, like Harrison West, Italian Village and Dennison Park Pace. If you are thinking "condo" then don't rule out downtown!! There are some really great deals downtown. By all means connect with a well informed Realtor to help you assess your best options based on your needs. Columbus is a great city (15th largest and one of the few actually growing in Ohio) there is certain to be an ideal place for you too!! ... more
