Yes, In Columbia County there are plenty of lakes for swimming and fishing right in Elizaville there is the Twin Lakes. and Boating there are some Lakes that allow small boats without engines close by is German town docks for the Hudson River. my husband avid fisherman and our house in for sale in Elizaville he fishs the hudson river and the small lakes also.. you could e-mail me at if you had any other questions.
