The four ways to commute to NYC from Colts Neck are:
The North Jersey Coast Line train from either Little Silver or Middletown,
The Bus from either Lincroft or The PNC center,
The ferry from the Highlands area, or
Driving via the Garden State Parkway.
Each one has pros and cons:
The train is probably most cost-effective, but also most time-consuming.
The bus is good but you have to wait outside for the bus to arrive,
and in bad weather or summer Fridays, the traffic is bad.
The ferry is fastest, but probably most expensive.
Driving is good, you don't have to live by a schedule, and if there is
no traffic, your commuting time will be the best. The negatives are,
between gas, tolls, parking once you get to NY, and wear and tear
it could be very costly, not to mention the stress of driving in each day.
It really boils down to each person's individual preference,
but those are your choices.
Good luck, I hope you find the one that is right for you!
