My kids are buying a home FHA and found one listed for $155,000 and they offered $168,000 and still did not get the property?
WHY ???
I don't think it was meant to be because of this but they are just devastated as bid more than anyone else!
How much over asking will cash buyers offer ? We think that may be what happened and it just sucks for the person who doesn't have a fortune in their pocket!!!
It's not right at all !

I purchased a house 9 years ago and just notice oil on the top soil surface, I called a company and they confirmed that there is one Full Tank7 inches of water and the rest oil. We are the 2nd owners of this house so 99.9% they knew and did not disclosed. In a perfect world they should be held liable for this and not me. I did what I had to do being a first time home buyer, inspection etc. I hire people to tell me what needs to get done! Can some please tell me how to proceed with this because I will probably have to sue this crooks for their dishonesty. ... more

You can't do anything unless the seller initiates the short sale request, and/or authorizes you or one of the realtors to speak to the bank on the seller's behalf. Going directly to the bank won't work unless you are authorized by the seller to speak to them about the sale.

One would believe that the source of this information should come from insurance companies. And since there are a large number of companies that store their own data independently finding this information would be near impossible.

I would love to hear otherwise!
