I actually live at Seasons and can't say enough good things about it. It's a gem in downtown! I've heard Hanna is nice too, but downtown apartments move FAST so don't wait too long in making a move. As for safety, downtown proper is actually pretty safe - the Hanna area especially (it's right in the theatre district, which is always lit up and active) and the area around Seasons isn't bad, either. Well-lit and a lot of people around, generally all times of day and night (Perk Park is super active, even well into the night, with families, etc.) Heading further east on Chester, it gets a bit more questionable... Just use common sense. You can get around without a car (plus parking costs a fortune), public transportation is pretty legit with the Health Line that runs along Euclid, other RTA buses and the trolleys that pick up right outside. Best of luck and welcome to the neighborhood!
