I actually live at Seasons and can't say enough good things about it. It's a gem in downtown! I've heard Hanna is nice too, but downtown apartments move FAST so don't wait too long in making a move. As for safety, downtown proper is actually pretty safe - the Hanna area especially (it's right in the theatre district, which is always lit up and active) and the area around Seasons isn't bad, either. Well-lit and a lot of people around, generally all times of day and night (Perk Park is super active, even well into the night, with families, etc.) Heading further east on Chester, it gets a bit more questionable... Just use common sense. You can get around without a car (plus parking costs a fortune), public transportation is pretty legit with the Health Line that runs along Euclid, other RTA buses and the trolleys that pick up right outside. Stay away from e. 185th. area. Look around e. 199th and Lakeshore area heading east. Check out Chardon Rd. up past Our Lady of the Lourdes shrine. Hadden St. area.

Google maps are a great place to find exact distance. Are you talking about The Cleveland Clinic or all of the Cleveland Clinics? There are several if so. Metro, UH for example. Old Brooklyn is approximately 25 minutes or so to The Cleveland Clinic depending on the time of day of course. Metro would be much closer. Not sure which hospital you're referring to, but Google or Yahoo maps can give you the exact route, mileage, distance, etc. if you need an exact distance. ... more

When I lived here if I walked too far right I was going to get jumped by Puerto Ricans if I walked too far left the African Americans so you see.... its all how you interpret the area and YES pay attention to the buildings that do look like crap.
