I've lived on west 50th and storer ave. Storer ave. and clark ave. are not that great. I would say yes a lot of crime. When I lived here if I walked too far right I was going to get jumped by Puerto Ricans if I walked too far left the African Americans so you see.... its all how you interpret the area and YES pay attention to the buildings that do look like crap. IF they do stay away..unless you want your car stolen or something. ... more

I have lived in Garfield Heights for over five years and feel completely safe, although I can only speak to the Crofton Overlook neighborhood. It is a very quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. Garfield Heights is a very convenient place to live. I can get downtown or to most Cleveland suburbs within 20 minutes thanks to its central location and there are several parks within 5 minutes, including CVNP. The new shopping centers add to the convenience factor as well. There are a lot of great real estate values in Garfield Heights right now so I would look at some of the neighborhoods before ruling it out all together. ... more

It's for Cleveland magazine's rating the suburbs issue with lots of helpful statistics and details regarding safety and affordability.

Personally I would recommend Mayfield Hts, Univ Hts, Lyndhurst, Beachwood, Streetsboro, Twinsburg.
Stay away from S. Euclid, Euclid, Wickliffe, Clev Hts, Shaker Hts, Ohio City, Tremont & anything within Cleveland city limits.

Hi, I personally love the location around Revere Court. There are so many amenities: the MetroParks, the Zoo, shopping, close to highways, good bus routes. I have a house for sale on W. 22nd as well ($76,500, just reduced the price). The area has a good selection of architectural styles too. I sold a home to a gal on Bradwell which is not far from Revere. Good luck in your home search and if I can be of any assistance let me know! ... more
