My advice is, make sure this isn't a rental scam. There are many of them online.

If "Steve" calls back, and says he cannot show you the home in person, for any reason, that's the first red flag.
Another red flag is if the rental price seems too good to be true ( it most likely isn't true).

Finally, if anyone asks you to wire money for the keys - it is definitely a SCAM!
Run in the opposite direction!

If your looking to find out about a certain place your best bet is to visit that place yourself. Go there at all different times of the day and night to judge for yourself if that place fits your needs.
