Hi Karen,
You've already gotten a variety of good answers below. The 'bottom line' is that every situation is different and there are many variables. I'm hoping that you are or will be working with a good and knowageble agent who can guide you to a successful negotiation, based on data that the agent will provide to you. When I'm working with Buyers, I like to try to find the 'magic number' - not quite as much as the Seller wants, but so good an offer that they will take it without further negotiation, because they are afraid to lose a good Buyer. Good luck!

In my area of the country, Northeast OH, access to highways is extremely important. Our transit system is marginal, so most of us use our cars to commute to our jobs.

If the home is yours... it is your house to use as you like. You cannot resale a house and advertise it as a bedroom unless it has a closet and can be conceived as a bedroom.

Good Luck!!!

You really need to contact your attorney to ask him or her to advise you on this. Was the offer approved by the seller's bank?

It is difficult to say exactly how much the taxes would be for a house that costs $150,000.00 but it could be anywhere fronm $2500.00-$4400.00 depending upon the assessment of the home. If you have a house in mind I may be able to give you the taxes on that particular property. Also they do not stay the same they are subject to reevaluation from time to time. I hope the helps you.
