Of course we are in Charlottesville Virginia which is a relatively small town--40,000 in the city and 60,000+ in the county.
It does have a GREAT Downtown--walking mall.

What type of atmosphere are you looking for? It's hard to know how your neighbors are going to be...There are some really nice places close to downtown if you prefer being close to where things are going on. My sister is a single, young...SHOULD be professional, but she still wants to be in college, HOWEVER, she just moved in to a reall nice house behind Zinc right off of Main Street and it's very quite and close to it all.
