I recommend consulting with an attorney. Generally, the second mortgage is not going to go away. The second trustholder can go after you for what they are owed. Fannie Mae will not come after you for a deficiency judgement (unless you simply walked away from your property without a hardship which resulted in the loss of your home). You may want to consider filing bankruptcy which will wipe away all of your outstanding debts. ... more
