GOOD LUCK. I have lived in North SD County since retiring from the military, and I am STILL looking for what you describe. It was not great then, but out of the question now; rent has SKYROCKETED here. The only areas you may find with what you seek will be FALLBROOK or HEMET, quite a ways if you're looking for Greater San Diego Your two main issues will be: FEW places will take a pet or will only take it if you pay a large deposit AND a monthly pet rent fee; Your PRIMARY ISSUE: NO WHERE HERE will you find a 2 BED FOR 850-1100, NOT EVEN IN THE HIGH CRIME AREAS. Hated to be a bearer of bad news. As I said before, POSSIBLY Hemet, or Fallbrook, but be prepared: greedy landlords have begun to ask for a deposit that WELL EXCEEDS the monthly rent. So if you find somewhere that's asking, say, 1100, make sure you ask before even bothering to look at the place what the deposit is..will likely be in the area of 17-1800, BUT will hardly be justified by the looks of it.
