Some municipalities offer web sites where you can input an address and get crime stats, but it does not appear Carrboro offers that. They do show crime stats for a number of apartment complexes in town. ... more

Take a look at the pacifica community in carrboro. There is a townhome #147 Viburnum Way for sale. It is passive solar, radiant floors, and solar panels. It is a cohousing community.

My NC Homes Team answered:
Pleasant Street is in the center of Carrboro and only a short walk to the local police station. I would consider this a prime in-town location and safe.

If you will be attending UNC, you could not ask for a better location, you could easily walk to campus.

I do not get involved in rentals but if you ever to decide you'd be interested in buying feel free to contact me.

There could be a lot of reasons. There are 4 on the market and 2 are under contract. In this market, that is pretty good. Are these for investors or owner occupants? If too many investors own, then it is difficult to get funding. I've been in one of them with a client who wanted many more windows and light, nor did she want to walk up a flight of stairs every time.

It is a buyer's market so people can be choosy. Not everyone wants a condo that is in an old block building, even when it has many bells and whistles. Finally, it all comes down to price. At the right price, they will sell quickly. Sorry I can't tell you more definitively.
