What type of debt is this? (Auto loan? Credit card? medical bill? etc...)

When was the account opened?

When did the account become delinquent?

Who currently owns the debt? (The original creditor or a collection agency?)

What state do you live in? (What state did you live in when you incurred the debt?)

It is great that you are preparing wisely for your big investment! FHA offers wonderful programs with as little as 3.5% down too! It is true about DPA programs having requirements to remain in the property for a certain period of time (or you have to repay the down payment) and requirements for properties being in certain areas.
