I suggest you work with a buyer's agent to help you find a home. Your buyer's agent can set up a search for properties that meet your needs. Then when you are ready your agent can show you any active listing when convenient for your schedule. typically sellers pay both sides of the realtor commissions so this high level of service doesnt cost you extra. (if you work directly with the seller's agent - the seller's agent usually gets more mone).
as far as photos - buyer's agents are limited to the data and photos provided by the list agent. for some reason listings dont always have photos (or good photos). that may be due to the condition of the house, or it could be the list agent is not doing their job very well. I warn my buyers not to skip a house online just because there are not photos - it could be just the right place
let me know if you have any other questions.
