The nice thing about Buffalo is you can get anywhere in 20 minutes! And that includes the suburbs! We are having a revival in city living, and things are exciting in the city. There are great new condos downtown in re-purposed buildings, and comparably inexpensive, lovely 1910 built 2-storey or bungalow homes in neighborhoods with diversity and pride. Allentown is nice, and so are Elmwood, Parkside, Hertel, and the renovated downtown area. ... more

Everybody is right on with the areas (Elmwood/Allen, Delaware and N. Buffalo). There are some great suburban areas outside of the city as well that offer a little different scene. Have him take a look at my Facebook page and get in touch if he'd like, it is geared towards first time buyers and a great resource for those moving into the area - full of info about Western New York. Hi Igor

Just happened to see your question, I work extensively with out of state investors in the purchase of REO or bank foreclosed properties. As I always tell them there is no specific list catered directly towards foreclosures, there are pay for lists sites out there but I sincerely believe if you have a good experienced agent to show you ropes and knows the areas such as the rents etc it will go a long way in setting up a good investment portfolio in the area. If you need any further info just call me 716-830-4754

Thanks

What a surprise no one has mentioned the Village of Kenmore to you yet. Located within the Town of Tonawanda, NY, this village has a quaint main strip with many vibrant businesses offering a variety of services. A short bus or car commute to downtown makes it an even more appealing area in this period of rising fuel costs. Good mix of single family and multi-family options available. For instance, check my listing link below for an excellent example of the good value for the dollar you can enjoy in Kenmore. ... more

Quality of living? That is a good question. Buffalo is a wonderful city with diversity, both financially and culturally. The people here are warm and welcoming. I have worked with many families relocating from other parts of the country, and the one thing they always say to me is that they can not believe how nicely they are treated here. We are very neighborly.

The city and suburbs of Buffalo have so much to offer. As stated by Miriam, museums and entertainment galore! The four seasons allow for a variety of indoor and outdoor entertainment. No matter where you live, you can be within minutes of anything you could possibly want to do. Our thruway systems are the best anywhere and yet often times they seem invisible. We can get anywhere fast and yet have the thruways not even noticed in our communities and neighborhoods. We rarely sit in backed up traffic.

The shopping is outstanding and the ability to enter into Canada adds the the entertainment and shopping opportunities. We have beaches that are within minutes.

This is the best of all worlds. If considering a move here, you could not make a better selection.

The best to you!, Cynthia
