An attorney is not a legal necessity, but anyone who tries to consummate a transaction involving a significant part of his total assets without competent legal representation deserves to be cheated out of everything.

Most areas are seeing prices increasing and at double digit rates. The amount of homes on the market is decreasing and bank owned homes are at 8 year lows. Short sales have dissapeared in a lot of areas, If you fin an area that has not started to come out of recession, it may be a great opportunity to buy low in order to get some real equity ... more

Dear Jclubit:

The real estate market in Brownville during the past six months based on sales prices and volume has actually been decreasing. There are many short sales and foreclosure activity happening there right now and the lack of qualified buyers looking in the area makes it a tough sale. However, if the price is right, anything is possible. Having said that, I do believe that over the next 2-3 years things will change and start to improve. That is my humble opinion.

Sincerely,

Dear Darien14:

That is a very opinionated question and subject to perception. With regard to the asking price it is hard to tell without physically viewing the entire property. As far as it being a good neighborhood, I would suggest you visit the local police precinct and research crime statistic as well. You can do that on Google.

If you need further assistance, please let me know. Good luck!

Sincerely,
Mitchell S. Feldman

Hi Rosedale,

There are a few strategies that can work for your circumstances. However, I would suggest you contact me to have a better idea of the best course of action.

Of course an attorney is always a good place to begin, but attorney's, typically, are not in the business of devising a strategy to arrange a sale for a property owned by not for profits. (unless your going to have a consultation with a tax attorney)

I am available from 11am to 8pm at (718) 484-1974 or mcorley@corleyre.com.
