Im not sure why a realtor would possibly know salaries of different professions. Perhaps look it up on job/salary websites like Glassdoor?

I have a 3 y old daughter, we found Davie to be close enough to the beach and with nice daycare Christian Academy.
I lived in Weston, I loved too, Plantation is a good area as well, Cooper city has great schools.
So, not at the beach but the areas 20 or 30 minutes away will be a good choice.
Hope helps, feel free to contact me for local advice.

Hi,

There are lots of nice houses in the Deerfield Beach area.

You say you want 2 bedrooms, and I assume you would also want two baths. There are many condos, villas, and single family houses available.

Do you have any pets? Some communities have restrictions on size and type of dog.

How soon do you want to move in? Will you be coming to Florida to look for houses, or are you planning to do it all from Connecticut?

Give me some more information and I will customize a search based on your criteria.

You can call, text or email and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

sweetie do not move to fort Myers. There is a significant amount of hatred against both blacks, biracial, gays and lesbians, and interracial couples here. I moved here recently from California and it is a worlds difference than anything I have experienced before. When it comes to the church community here in Fort Myers, they are the most hateful and predudice of them all. There are also a large percentage of rednecks here or poor racists whites who will make your life even more difficult. No one on here will tell you the truth because most of the people commenting on here are probably part of the redneck group. ... more

JP,

Pompano Beach is rapidly becoming the place to be as its close 'enough' to everything yet far enough away to be safe and quiet. I am born and raised down here and would not have it any other way just as my parents have resided in Pompano for over 40 years.

As with most cities there are better and worse areas within the city, but east of US1 is a great bet. I have lived in Miami, Boca, Fort Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach, and Pompano along with Tampa bay and St Pete on the west coast and Pompano is that nice in-between. If you want a nice night out you are a short drive to Atlantic Avenue in Delray, or Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale, or even South Beach yet you have a short drive to the store, to the beach and plenty of sports and activities for your children to engage in.

There is a small city 'within' Pompano of sort, Lighthouse Point and they offer a great amount of clubs, camps, and sports programs which your kids can participate in just as I did for a small fee for living outside of the city. You may also want to look at homes within Lighthouse point as its an extremely safe and quiet area with their own fire department and police force. Pompano also has a great aquatic center and tennis courts which offer great activities for kids, overall you seem like you know what you are looking for and already did some research but wanted to be reassured of your decision, and you can rest assured you are looking in the right area.

If there is anything I may be able to help you with or any specific programs for your kids you want more information on please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks and have a great rest of your day!

Hi Anita,

You will not find a bigger fan than Weston than I. As such, I always recommend Weston.

But I have found this has given other communities an unfair, indirect label as if they are "not as good".

You mentioned Pembroke Pines. Pembroke Pines for example in an internationally based magazine (the name escapes me at the moment) was ranked one of the best communities to raise a family anywhere in the world!

But why not Weston?

The point of view was that Pembroke Pines gives you all that Weston does (their schools are excellent as well), but is much more affordable.

And I could find supporting data for many other communities as well.

For example, Weston's schools are all rated A- and above, all of them, but none appeared on America's top 1000. But many schools in Coral Gables (within Miami Greater Area) were!

In other words, I still will recommend Weston, but if your personal, subjective opinion tells you that Weston isn''t for you (I know a lot of people who live in Coral Gables that don't like Weston's 'too perfect' look and feel for example), you are in luck because South Florida in general is a wonderful, beautiful place to raise a family.

Aside from some exceptions, as exist in all cities, South Florida is all about varying degrees of good-amazing, and very, very few below that.

My advice is browse around, be objective and then subjective.

Good luck!

Is a different activity for every member of your family. Like the Aquashop indoor surfing. This indoor flowrider is an amazing experience, combining the action of surfing, bodyboarding and wakeboarding. Just ride the wave using your experience and skill to stay a flow. Or you can enjoy an hour long air boat tour at the Everglades Holiday Park.

Fort Lauderdale is flowing with water based activities, like scuba diving, jet skiing, parasailing and sport fishing.

Best of Luck,

A certain level of quiet is typically expected after 11 pm in residential areas. However, in downtown areas, especially where there are restaurants and nightclubs, the noise levels are typically higher until around 1 AM. In order to check the area of your Fort Lauderdale home, you may want to ask the police department if there are specific ordinances for various areas of the city.
