Hi Herwig, you should really check with the local Brooklyn/NYPD police and sheriffs departments for this data. They will have the most accurate information. A realtor can't really give you a fully "legal" opinion on this issue for a variety of reasons related to real estate laws and professional liability.

Your best advice would be to contact the police department in that area and ask them what type of incidents they have had and how many. They have all that information and it's public.

Most of the homes in the area are multi-family types with a median price of about $660,000 (half of these properties sold for higher prices, half sold for lower prices). The median household income in the area is about $30,000 per year. 70% of the population in the area rent as opposed to 30% that own in the neighborhood.
