It seems that your scores in your range should work. Lenders like myself can go as low as 580 when it comes to credit scores. Of course, your other finances will need to be in place as well including your income, debt, assets, employment, expenses, etc. The best thing for you to do is to speak with a knowledgeable lender like myself to see if you can get started on financing a new home. If you need additional assistance, feel free to reach out. Good luck!

check the 'crimes' tab in each residential listing, usually at the bottom.
Also when you find something you like, search the property address with the national sex offender registry.
Also, I look for zip codes in high end residential areas- then search houses in my price range within those zip codes.

You can get started by either going to a mortgage broker or a local bank. There are many documents and information that you will need to gather eventually for purchasing a home so you can get many of those together.
