Hello,

We’re excited you’re using Trulia for your home search process. We are a real estate search engine so we don't represent the homes found on our site. Please follow these steps to begin your home search:

1. Click the "Rent' tab at the top of our homepage.
2. Enter your desired city and state in the search bar and hit Enter.
3. Click 'Max Price' to select what your highest price would be to pay for a home. Click 'Min Price' to set the lowest price you would pay.
4. Click 'More Filters'.
5. Select your preferred property type, square footage, etc.
6. Click the red 'Apply' button.

This will begin to pull up listings that are more tailored to what you are looking for.

If you are interested in a listing, click on the "Contact the agent" button to get in touch with a real estate professional in your area. You can also take advantage of our vast network of agents here:

We hope your experience with Trulia is memorable and thank you for using Trulia for all your real estate needs.

Al Pratte answered:
Hi Edward,

It is unfortunate that some sellers and/or their agents do not stage a house when listing it for sale. They may not realize that too much clutter and too many trinkets, as you mentioned, distract a potential buyer from seeing the potential in the property. Too many times a buyer will spend time commenting on the sellers personal belongings, pictures on the wall or decor rather than discussing the structure and layout of the home and how it may work for them.

I always ask my sellers to "declutter" the house, take down any personal pictures and then we can stage the furniture in a way that those viewing the property can envision themselves living in the home. In some cases, the sellers have outdated furniture and we try our best to make the home show well regardless.

Paula Wolfang answered:
Hi Rosa,
Bristol is a very safe community. The house you have chosen is on a dead end in a neighborhood that has an optional neighborhood association you can join with its own clubhouse/beach area on the Kickemuit river. It is the kind of neighborhood where children will be playing outside into the summer evenings and residents will be walking year round. Please contact me if you would like to view this home Rosa. Average doesn't matter unless you want to hire an average agent. Or unless you're writing a paper.

You're doing neither.

Focus on the agent. Ask about the commission. Then decide.

Denis DaSilva answered:
General real estate values are different from assessed values. General real estate values fluctuate monthly, whereas assessed values remain constant for the year. General real estate values reflect the amount the property would sell for in the current market and include the value of the land and any improvements. Assessed values reflect a percentage of the value of the land and the improvements based on state and local property tax laws, including any bonds and assessments passed by voters. Additionally, general real estate values do not necessarily equal assessed values.

you can check a property estimated value instantly on www.OnlinePropertyValue.com also no cost or sign up required.
