It uses the Bridgeport zip code for mailing but is not subject to Bridgeport employment tax or borough rules; it follows Upper Merion Township. Swedesburg is a nice area for families, retirees, couples without kids & singles. We really look out for each other which can truly be seen during large snow storms when we all help dig each other out. If you are interesting in the Bridgeport area I would suggest you specifically take a look at Swedesburg which starts on one side of Coates Street and extends to the turnpike. If you are looking to sell the home in a couple of years, I do not believe that much appreciation will occur in that time frame. Most people purchase a home to live in for at least seven to ten years.

I speculate, that the market will remain somewhat slow through 2008 and perhaps into the first quarter of 2009 before returning to normal appreciation rates.
