it cut me off so let me add some more details here. We bought the place with two parking spots and the master deed shows they have one. at the beginning, they kept parking two cars back the making it quite difficult for us to get out so we brought it up and this is when it first came up that they believed they have 2 spots. we mentioned that there was a conflict in paperwork and they went down the "are we such bad neighbors blah blah route" so we decided to be good humans and mark it back there so they could use two spots without inconveniencing ourselves drastically, well they are moving and renting their unit so they sent us the listing and i mentioned how i would like to go back to our deeded spots. she tells me now they have two and i say actually according to the master deed you don't here are the documents and i also followed up by going to city hall and getting records from city which agree with us. she still says her papers say something different but hasn't shown them to us. we are planning on selling soon and the realtor mentioned number of spots would impact our listing price and i shared this with her when she said "well but it has worked" ultimately, i have a problem with someone profiting off of my property (get more money in rent with two spots vs. one.) i know i need to get her to show me these papers...but where can she possible have different information? do multiple master deeds get created? ... more

IS IT ALLOWED - by the association? by the City?

If it is allowed what are the restrictions by each?

Is the current structure able to support the proposed structure?

What are the ramifications of putting the structure on the roof? roof material? ac units? access?

Costs? architect, legal, materials, cranes, etc

First board must approve that they are in favor of it, then appoint a committee, then follow the steps I've outlined above.

Good luck
