It depends on your idea of "reasonable". There are lots of rental homes around Boerne, but "reasonable" is quite subjective.

As a custom home builder in the Hill Country the budget factors to consider are, in no particular order:
- Cost of getting utilities to the build site
- Cost of the driveway and other flatwork areas
- Cost of the slab!!! By FAR the biggest factor. Once a slab gets beyond 36" out of the ground the costs really start to go up fast.

Other factors to consider are:
- Deed restrictions
- Potential flood zones
- Access (location)

I'm a builder, not a lender or a real estate agent. So my perspective various on a few of these things. I tell my client to build what they want, where they want, based on what they can afford.

I am not familiar with that builder, however I would get past client references. They should be able to provide you at least (3) at a minimum. You should also check the Spring Branch area for builders or Even Blanco. Carl Homeier owner of Paragon C&D Builders is a super guy out of Blanco, but I am sure he would build out in Twin Sisters. This parcel is actually NOT located within the city limits of Boerne. Call Kendall County and inquiry. My guess is they'd be more than happy to accomodate you in order to increase the tax base ;-)

No Ma'am. This development (Limestone Ranch) is zoned for Champion High School, NOT Boerne High School. We have very good friends in Limestone and they love it, but it is not BHS.....but CHS is an excellent school too.

I've sold a few homes in Boerne and land in Comfort. You are absolutely correct in your' assessment of the situation. The prices in Boerne are very high. If you shoot me a quick e-mail I can send you a list of everything in your price range there in Boerne. As far as FHA approval that would come with the appraisal but the listing agent and my self will have a good idea if it would pass or not. ... more
