I don't know how large the snake was that left a shed layer of skin, but having raised snakes and many other animals, I really doubt you have much to worry about. Snakes like to stay out of sight when possible. They don't want to be stepped on any more than you want to step on one. And they aren't likely large enough to want to eat your pets unless your raising small rodents (that will attract them), but if the shed is larger around than your calf, you may want to call animal control. I'm grateful their are many small garter snakes and deer near my home. We like seeing the deer wander through behind our home, and we realize that fewer mice get in where we don't want them, because of the dozens of snakes in the neighborhood. Thank goodness there are a few wild animals left for the kids to see. You are welcome to call me for general appraiser questions, questions for realtors, or even questions about snakes. While it's not possible to say that you will never run into one... it does seem a bit more rare than you would think. I wouldn't call it a huge problem.

Fact is, that 2 years in a row, San Antonio has been rated the #1 City in the Country for new business.

San Antonio is like the opposite of New York.. "If you can't make it here, you can't make it anywhere" ;)

I could write you a book on this subject, but I won't bore you to tears on this site... I've said this many times.. San Antonio has always been a good bet, and it will be a good bet for many years to come.

Visit a neighborhood several times to get a sense of belonging. Check out area statistics; real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase, or not, in specific neighborhoods; so, you should check out demographics on your own to assure your comfort level can be reached. ... more

I think happzhouse0f was talking about apartments or something. Bedbugs wouldn't be a concern for another resident, as they came from her matress/bedding.

I used to own the home at 2255 Bedford Stage and loved the location. A wonderful HEB (best in city) is just across the street. So is Starbucks, Walgreens, entrance to both 410 and 1604.

You can't go wrong in this neighborhood. I think they are even making improvements since I left last year.

If you're looking for an apartment, I don't think those on Braiseview are the greatest. Try near Lockhill and Heubner.
