Not usually, you can ask the seller to pay it. You should ask your loan officer to go over the loan with you and what you can and can not do. Just as well, your buyer agent can guide you though making an offer with seller concesions ... more

Hi, I assume you are talking about the homes in the new subdivision off of Pleasant Hill. I have a subdivision just down the road on Benson Hardee and consulted with the agent on this new subdivision. They had originally looked to build homes in the $130's but the market seems to be gaining steam and my gut tells me the builder will stay in the mid-140's to high 150's for the most part. I am sure I could meet with agent/builder and potentially have you a home built in the 130's. I will say that price point is tough with new construction now because the lots prices have went up so much over the last 12 months. I hope this helps and I will be more than happy to offer you a free buyer consult if you want to get a better understanding of the local market. Thank you and have a blessed weekend! ... more

Caution: That's a RealtyTrac advertisement, not a real listing. It's very possible that property is not on the market.

However, to answer your question: There's a whole cluster of fast food places and restaurants about a mile south on 95--a McDonald's, Subway, El Charro, Waffle House, and a KFC. Also nearby is a Bojangles. There's also a pizza place, a bar, and a few other places--again, all within a mile or so.

As for supermarkets, there's a Food Lion about 1.5 miles away. Also nearby are an IGA and some smaller places.

Hope that helps.

perhaps it is a sign to go ahead and just make the purchase?

Plenty of homes for sale that would be USDA eligible as long as you are qualified.

I am assuming you are talking about the town you are currently living in. Here is some advice Realtors by law cannot tell you good bad or ugly about a neighborhood, because it could be understood as STEERING into or out of a certain neighborhood for whatever reasons, this is against the law.
In order for you to find out whether a certain neighborhood is for YOU, in other words fits you family life and your interests, you will have to do some research on your own, there is a lot of information on the internet,
and drive through the neighborhood once you decide where you want to live and buy, drive through at various times and days of the week and decide. I strongly suggest to work with a trusted Realtor, Buyers agent to represent you and protect your interests throughout the entire process. Of course the agent will be able to show you, drive by with you, where the parks are, the shopping malls, schools you may be interested etc.
As agents we just cannot tell you if one neighborhood is family oriented or not....

And by the way a little word of advice...... Neighborhoods change over the years, people move in and out and cities make changes they build new schools, new train stations, new construction etc.

Good luck to you
