I think it depends on the area norms. Real Estate is like politics....its local. In northeast Ohio, Attorneys are rarely used because realtors are the experts because we do this more regularly, Typically a realtor can get you more money by exposing your house to more quality buyers therefore driving the price. Realtors also help hold the deal together by knowing the ancillary players that you will need and coming up with suggestions on negotiating inspections and such. ... more

The Plain Dealer our local paper had a great article on the employment situation in Cleveland. This is the link http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2014/07/ohios_unemployment_rate_55_sta.html. Beachwood is a great area because it is so close to the medical campuses and universities and in addition has a great deal of commerce. Look for job networking events on Cleveland.com. Good luck!

With home values dependent mostly on local economy and thenj the specific house and location within the town, and that in turn dependent on state and national ecnomy, 2 houses value changes in Ohio would be more alike than different. It is impossible to predict future values. From 1999 to 2009, 10 years, existing home values went up about 35% in Beachwood it appears. But an individual house that is 5-10-15 years older is different than the average for all houses in a town over time. A good realtor should be able to help though. But for most of us, it is always, why would I do that? Most of us hope to make a friend and get some business in the future. Let us know how you make out. ... more

Here's a link to a blog I wrote on how to find them: http://bit.ly/findaleaseoption
