Hello,

We’re excited you’re using Trulia for your home search process. We are a real estate search engine so we don't represent the homes found on our site. Please follow these steps to begin your home search:

1. Click the 'Rent' tab at the top of our homepage.
2. Enter your desired city and state in the search bar and hit Enter.
3. Click 'Max Price' to select what your highest price would be to pay for a home. Click 'Min Price' to set the lowest price you would pay.
4. Click 'More Filters'.
5. Select your preferred property type, square footage, etc.
6. Click the red 'Apply' button.

This will begin to pull up listings that are more tailored to what you are looking for.

If you are interested in a listing, click on the "Contact the agent" button to get in touch with a real estate professional in your area. You can also take advantage of our vast network of agents here:

http://www.trulia.com/directory/

We hope your experience with Trulia is memorable and thank you for using Trulia for all your real estate needs.

For future reference, you can feel free to contact us about this type of inquiry through our contact form here:

Mitchell Feldman answered:
Dear Ellen:

For the most part those numbers are copied from what is listed on public records. You can go to the web site www.PropertyShark.com to pull up this type of information. Also, sometimes you can have similar homes, but if one homeowner converted the basement to legal living space, this would increase the square footage that is shown on public record.

On occasion there could be typographical errors on public records. The only way to be certain of your homes actual square footage would be to actually measure it up. If you need help with that feel free to contact me direct, I can show you how.

Sincerely,
Mitchell S. Feldman

This home’s listing agent can tell you more about this place that I can (and probably will know a lot about similar properties in the area). You can email the agent from listing page using the orange “Contact Agent” button to the right of the home photos.

Or, you can look for other local agents on Trulia here: http://www.trulia.com/voices/directory/

Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help with anything else. I am happy to be a resource for you. Good luck with the search!

Best,
Ali

Kathryn Lilly answered:
This apartment is listed for sale, it is most unlikely that the owner will want to rent it, but more importantly it is a co-op so will need co-op board approval... not likely if you have no U.S references or credit.
Find a local Broker in the area that you want to live and they will help you find an appropriate apartment to rent.

Mitchell Feldman answered:
Dear Astika Barolli:

When purchasing a property the buyer will have closing costs ranging from about 4% to 6% of the loan amount. Closing costs for a buyer includes mortgage tax, title reporting fees, appraisal, survey, lawyer and several others.

After you own the condo, you will have to pay homeowners insurance and real estate taxes annually. You will also have to pay the common charges which vary from condo to condo. Common charges are used to pay for the upkeep and management of all the common areas in the condo. These include hallway/elevator power and maintenance, landscaping, snow removal and management fee just to name a few.

Hence, when purchasing a condo, make sure you know how much your closing costs will be, you can discuss this with your mortgage banker. Also make sure you know how much the real estate taxes and common charges are and get an insurance quote to see how much you will pay for that as well. Then you will know your budget.

If I can be of further assistance, please let me know. Good luck!

Sincerely,
Mitchell S. Feldman
