I live in Mirage and it is a wonderful place to live. There are many activities and you will need to keep a calendar so you can keep track of your activities. Also there are many vacation opportunities.

I know of homes for sale ( I am not an agent). You can e-mail me for further info. brownie229@hotmail.com

The homes that are mentioned over $375,000 are very few in number. So don't let that put you off.

Your agent will be your best source of information--why not contact him/her and ask all your questions--as he/she must have accompanied you to the showing.

Hi Judi,

First, to the other just looking. The township will be doing another reassessment to adjust for the price adjustments caused by the dip in the market and foreclosures. You can also do a tax appeal. more importantly, Barnegat is beautiful and the people are very nice and friendly. Come and see and look at other areas as well. I wish for you that you find a place where you will be comfortable. Good Luck! ... more

Miki,
Yes sometime us realtors and brokers have a tendency to push for your business, but understand this is the way we keep a roof over our families heads.

Here are a few web links that will be great resource if your relocaing to New Jersey and looking for affordable housing.

http://www.oceaninc.org/programs.html (Ocean County Program for housing Ocean INC)

http://www.njhousing.gov/ (Provides a search engine with lists of affordable homes)

http://www.state.nj.us/dca/affiliates/coah/resources/muniliaisons.pdf (Providing a list of contact names for each county)

Keep in mind that prices in our area's have declined. You can find something in your price range in a nice neighborhood in many towns throughout Ocean County. .Please Remember when you purchase an affordable housing home and you choose to sell it down the road there will be restrictions as to how much you can ask. So, considering regular housing inventory will increase your chances of a future equity gain.

Good luck in your search.
