Renting can make sense but month to month if you still really want to sell in the long run. Best tenants work for a living, pay their bils and have good credit. Maybe owned before. Ask lots of questions and get references. Not from their last landlord, he or she will tell you anything to get them to move along if they are slow, no pay. And have a habit of piling up 2200 pounds of garbage, debris you will have to handle the same way. Ask the next to last landlord. History is your best predictor. ... more

there is a perfect brick house on Broadway. It needs updating but the price was 470,000.00 now is 270.000.00. I looked at the house and thought it would be perfect for what you would like to use it for.

Tony you have had some great answers here already. One thing they have not touched on is Demand. Demand for rentals is on the rise. As people are displaced to to increasing foreclosures and short sales, not just here in Bangor, but around the country they are left with one choice and that is to rent. People are forced to go where the jobs are and Bangor's job market is more solid than most. There are many other factors to consider before becoming a landlord.
