All property in MD is reassessed once every three years. If you don’t like the assessment you can appeal it. The assessment can also be adjusted upward or down when an arms length sale occurs . Zip 21202 is in Baltimore City where the tax rate is about 2% of the assessed value not including any benefit district charges which might apply. Also if you are an owner occupant you get the homestead exemption. Low and moderate-income persons may also be eligible for Property Tax Credits. Lastly some properties qualify for additional tax breaks. Assessment records are on line. Google the term “MD REAL PROP”. Actual city tax bills are also on line.
