employment is not the problem, there are ALWAYS jobs in that area. the problem is people trying to live beyond what they can afford. Commute times can be anywhere from 30min to an hour. I just married and now live in Ballantyne...my job is still in fort mill sc so I only commute about 20minutes (with good traffic) to work. my husband on the other hand works in rock hill sc and he commutes a little over 30 minutes. Ballantyne is a good area to live in if you can afford it because its really in the middle of everywhere. ... more
