Hello Ceeanddee, there are only HOA fees on condo's or townhomes. How many bedrooms, baths and what is the maximum payment/price you are looking to achieve? Do you have down payment and closing costs or do you need down payment and closing cost programs?

You will need to be pre-approved to be able to meet an agent to view and submit offers on any homes of your choice. You may consider 3% down conventional from a minimum 620 fico score and from 3.5% down FHA from a minimum 580 fico score. You may consider down payment and closing cost assistance programs with a minimum 640 fico score.

The purchase in Bakersfield start from 67k for 2bd 1ba single family home. You may qualify to buy and pay less than rent in Bakersfield. You should study RENT vs BUY listings to compare payments. The rentals in Bakersfield start from $1,100 for 2bd 2ba condo.

If you figure out what cities/zip codes you are considering, minimum number of bedrooms and the maximum payment/price you are looking to afford you can be set up to receive daily automatic emails to fit your search criteria. Check out the web reference link below...

Kern City has it on RV lot on Ashe Rd very near Kern City, I am not sure what they charge now but at one time it was a very small fee like $125 per year and if you had an RV it must be parked there or other arrangements made. As far as camper/pickup as long as it’s attached and no one living in it you should be able to park it like any other vehicle. But I could be wrong on that. Contact the Kern City HOA for specifics.
